The History of CEFC
Carlisle Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) was formed in 1985 and began meeting in a nursing home. As God brought more people, the church moved to the Boiling Springs High School. Then, in February of 2001, the congregation moved into its present location at 290 Petersburg Road.
CEFC is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). The twelve-article Statement of Faith of the EFCA expresses our beliefs.
CEFC is an Elder-led, Congregation-ruled church. We currently have an Elder Board consisting of six members. The Senior and Associate Pastor also sit on the board.
Our Church Staff currently consists of four Pastors, two Directors, and five part-time Support Staff.
Our Mission Statement
The mission statement of Carlisle Evangelical Free Church is to live “All of Life for Christ”. Whether we are at home, at work, with our neighbors, or in our community, we want our personal relationship with Jesus Christ to affect the way we do everything. Living “All of Life for Christ” is something every believer must want to do and take the necessary actions to make it happen. The Discipleship Model, pictured below, shows us what these actions are.
