Stewardship
The very best investment a person can make is in the kingdom of God. We believe and teach that God has called, and uniquely gifted, every believer for service; and that effective service for Christ flows out of a life of wise stewardship.
When we consider that approximately two thirds of the parables which Christ taught deal specifically with finances, we can understand how important it is to have a correct understanding that everything we have belongs to God.
Giving is one way to guard our hearts against greed, covetousness, ego and pride, because these are the tools that the world uses to distract us from the truly important things of life.
As we live “All of life for Christ” we come to see that “All” includes how we use time and money. We believe that effective service in God’s kingdom means that we are available to meet needs both through giving of money and our time. We believe that a wise steward will have a heart to invest in what is eternal. As Christ reminds us in Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
