CEFC Children’s Ministry Mission
“Connecting Kids To Christ” is the Ministry Mission of the Children’s Ministry of CEFC. It is our desire for children of all ages to come into a personal relationship and grow as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. We do that through the EXAMPLE of Godly leaders, EXPLORATION of God’s Word, and EXPERIENCE of worship and fellowship with others.
CEFC Children’s Ministry Vision
“Connecting Kids To Christ” So They Are Able To Live “All Of Life For Christ”
Children’s Ministry Core Values
Life-Changing and Life-Challenging:
“Operation Changed Lives” is what we are about at CEFC! Teaching not only for information but transformation! Helping children take the next step in their faith journey and challenge them onward in their spiritual growth to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ!
“What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 NLT
Exceptionally Exciting Education:
Classroom creativity defines what children experience each time they step through the doors of CEFC. Children will experience creativity that captures the imagination, transporting them to a time and place so as to experience God’s Word in an exciting and age-appropriate way.
“So everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all the wisdom God has given us, for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. I work very hard at this, as I depend on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.” Colossians 1:28-29 NLT
Authentically Compassionate Relationships:
It is our relationship with Christ that connects us with God and it is our goal in the Children’s Ministries of CEFC to provide Christ-like relationships with each child who walks through our doors so as to provide for them a connection to the person of Jesus Christ and to God.
“Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us.” 1 John 4:11-12 NLT
Safety and Security Minded:
It is a high priority of CEFC to provide a safe and secure place in which children can come together to enjoy the fellowship of one another, explore God’s Word and experience worship. We are committed to the safety of each and place a priority on providing a secure environment in which growing in Christ can happen.
“Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.” Psalm 16:1 NLT
Spiritually Growing, Team Committed:
Leaders who commit themselves to growing in their faith and sharing in leadership responsibilities, provide excellent role models and direction for children on their spiritual journey.
“Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.” Colossians 2:7 NLT
