“Striving for spiritual growth whithin all children while providing a safe and fun atmosphere.”
We want children to be excited to come to church and to help them grow by leaps and bounds in their walk with God. We provide a safe, caring learning environment with decorated classrooms and loving, trained teachers. We have a BIG heart for children here at CEFC!
We believe our mission in children’s lives is more than just babysitting. It is to challenge them to take big steps in their own walk with God and we give that challenge in unique, exciting ways that are appropriate to each age level. Our passion is to create an environment that is as fun and as safe as we can make it. From our high-quality nursery to our activity-filled preteen ministry, everything we do is to maximize our impact on each child and point them to Christ.

Core Values
Practically Life-Changing and Life-Challenging: That all our teaching should be practical, touching the real issues of children’s lives. That every week’s teaching should be challenging each child to take new steps of spiritual growth. We are intentional about our children’s spiritual growth, not trusting it to happen accidentally, but purposefully designing our teaching in a way that will accomplish it.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
“For the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
“For as the rain comes down from heaven…so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire, and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11.
Uniquely Exciting Teaching: That the teaching our children receive each week goes above and beyond, utilizing mediums and methods that will most effectively capture our children’s attention, and make the Bible come alive to them in new ways.
“I have become all things to all people, so that by all possible means, I might win some.” I Corinthians 9:22
Genuinely Caring Relationships: That no child will feel like one among many, no matter how large we become. That every child will feel individually loved and cherished, through the intentional caring acts of our teachers and leaders, and through the way we structure our classes.
“By this will everyone know that you are my disciples, if you have love, one for another.” John 13:35
Serious About Safety and Security: That every effort is made to reach and maintain the highest possible standard of safety and security; recognizing that such must be parent-friendly and teacher-friendly.
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16
Spiritually-growing, Team-Committed: That all of our teachers, assistants, support staff and leaders serving in the children’s ministry are personally committed to growing in their own walk with God, and to the greater vision that God has entrusted to us.
“…But I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me…” Philippians 3:12
